| ANNOTATION

The last of the puppet adaptations of Jan Werich’s fairy-tales: The Hat with a Jay’s Feather (or the King Had Three Sons), How the Giants in the Sumava Mountains Died Out, and Good Fortune

The new Fimfarum introduces, apart from traditional Fimfarum authors (the duo of Vlasta Pospíšilová and Petr Poš), up-and-coming young artists and gives them an opportunity to prove their talent and their passion to audiences in the cinemas in the Czech Republic and abroad. You will hear not only Jan Werich but also Ota Jirák, Jiří Macháček, Miroslav Krobot, Roman Říčař and Miroslav Vladyka

Briefly about the new stories: the story of How the Giants in the Sumava Mountains Died Out follows a film crew in the Sumava mountains where they are seeking the truth about whether giants really exist and playing an ancient game called “the bigger one.” In The Hat with a Jay’s Feather (or the King Had Three Sons) the king summons only two of his sons, because no one takes the third one seriously. High up in the mountains, the king had lost his hat with a little jay’s feather and he longs for it. The journey to the mountains is hard and long and the question is, who will be the first one up? Speedy’s Bugasseratti or Strongman’s Special Bull-Digger? Or will it be the third son’s moped? And can a king’s son become an absolute world champion of all races in all categories? The longest tale, Good Fortune, tries to find an answer to a cardinal question whether one can live without Sense or without Luck.
