| SYNOPSIS
A Very Unsettled Summer is a full feature live action film, set in the present, by the Romanian director and producer Anca Damian. Her previous feature animated documentary Crulic – The Path to Beyond won an award at one of the most prestigious film festivals, Festival del Locarno, in 2011. Among other honours, it won the East European Forum 2011 documentary competition organised by the Institute of Documentary Films at the Jihlava festival in 2011.
The film is based on a story by the Bucharest-based Irish writer Philip O’Ceallaigh, the script was written by the director herself in cooperation with him. The film is shot in English.

Jamie Sives Scottish actor known from films such as Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself, A Woman in Winter, Valhalla Rising (directed by the Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn), Triage (directed by Academy Award Holder Danis Tanovič) and Clash of Titans.
Kim Bodnia Danish actor from the Dogma movement and films such as Pusher, Bleeder, Night Watch, Terribly Happy.
Diana Cavallioti Italian actress nominated for the Gopo award, she starred in films such as Tales from a Golden Age and Crossing Dates.
| AUTHOR AND PRODUCER
Anca Damian graduated from the National Film and Theatre Academy. She worked as a director and screenwriter on several documentaries about art – most of them were screened at prestigious festivals (Paris, Montreal, Montecatini, Szolnok). Some of them won national and international awards and were broadcast by RAI SAT (Italy) and Kunst Kanaal (The Netherlands). She worked as a director of photography on two feature films and lectured at the National Film and Theatre Academy.
A Very Unsettled Summer is her third feature film. Her debut is the 2008 film “Crossing Dates” screened at the biggest Asian festival in Pusan and at festivals in Chicago, Gothenburg, Rome, Cottbus atc.
Her second film „Crulic – The Path to Beyond“ was selected for the competition in Locarno (Special Mention from the Jury) and the programme of another twenty festivals (Telluride, London BFI, Pusan, Warsaw, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Sibiu and Jihlava). Among other awards, the film won the documentary competition East European Forum 2011 organised by the Institute of Documentary Films at the Jihlava festival 2011.
