We are thrilled to share the exciting news of several recent accolades awarded to our production company Maur film.

I Died in Irpin has been honoured as the winner of the 2024 International Documentary Competition at the ANIMIX Festival. The jury commented: “The film masterfully blends the personal and the collective in a way that evokes deep empathy. The creator freely and skillfully portrays a complex psychological reality under the shadow of war. The virtuoso combination of techniques creates a fractured reality and a rich, unique voice.”

The CILECT Prize 2024, which included participation from 108 schools worldwide, recognized ELECTRA as the highest-rated film in the animation category. The CILECT Prize is unique as the first-ever award bestowed upon a student film by the entire community of CILECT Full Member Schools, which in 2023 included 180 institutions from 65 countries.

Lastly, we are proud to announce that WEEDS received a Special Jury Mention in the International Short Film Animation category at the XXVII Guanajuato International Film Festival. The jury, consisting of renowned figures such as Rodrigo Gonzalez, Tania Aedo, and Remo Scherrer, commended the film “… for its ability to turn a seemingly everyday story into an empathetic and harrowing animated battle. Through a fascinating deployment of pictorial, cinematic and sound resources, director Pola Kazak creates a powerful metaphor about the fear of the unknown and gives us a powerful short film, a perfect symphony between narrative and audiovisual.”
